• Pretend play skills
• Sequencing skills
• Body parts (“wash head,” “wash tummy”, etc…)
• Action words (“wash, dry”)
• Following simple directions (“put baby in,” “take her out,” “wash hair”)

• Cause and effect- model words “ready, set go!”
• Requesting- ask for “more” or “bubble”
• Model action words “blow” “pop”

Brightly Colored Stacking Cubes
• Cause and effect- have two sets of cubes, you each build your own towers and knock them down
• Requesting- you hold the blocks and your child requests a “block” or “more” from you one at a time
• Concepts- up/down- model the words “up” and “down” while building the towers

• Cause and effect- plays music and sounds and says phrases each time something is placed in or on top of the jar
• Requesting- you hold the shapes and your child requests a “shape” or “more” from you one at a time
• Verbal imitation- you say “wee” or “wow” each time your child drops a shape in
• Concepts- in/out- say “in” each time a shape goes in and then ”out” when you take them all out again

Amazing Baby Sound Balls
• Cause and effect- The balls play sounds when you roll and play with them such as chime, jingle, and crinkle sounds
• Turn taking skills- roll the ball back and forth with your child while modeling the phrases “your turn,” “my turn.”
• Requesting- roll the ball, stop the ball and wait for your child’s reaction to ask for “more”
• Requesting- hold the ball before rolling it, model “ready, set” then pause to see if your child will request the ball to “go.”

Teddy Bear in a Box
• Cause and effect- turning the crank makes the bear pop up
• Requesting- give the toy to your child with the lid closed, if he can’t turn the crank see if he will give it to you to ask for “help” or “more”
• Verbal imitation- model greetings “hi” when the bear pops up and “bye” when you pus the bear down
• Concepts- up/down- model the words at appropriate times during play

The Farmer Says - See and Say
• Cause and effect- pushing the lever activates animals sounds
• Verbal imitation- work on imitating animal sounds and also songs
• Turn taking- model words “my turn” and “your turn” while you take turns playing the animal sounds
• Vocabulary- work on learning some early animal names, you say the name of the animal after imitating the sound

Laugh and Learn Piggy Bank
• Cause and effect- the pig plays music or counts when the coins are dropped in the bank
• Verbal imitation- push the pig’s nose and model the “oink oink” sound
• Turn taking- model “your turn” and “my turn” while sharing coins to put in the bank
• Requesting- you hold the coins and see if your child will request for “more” or “in”
• Concepts- in/out- model the word “in” as he drops the coins in and “out” when you dump them out
